This New Land she has Reached

My practice is both individual and collaborative. I’m looking at my own experience of finally growing up, relationships and personal visibility. I’m also interested in the complexity and ambiguity of being a mother to a child with a disability.

In the performance “This New Land she has Reached” I traced her growing years, now I’m exploring our relationship as she and I grow older.

I have recently been granted a Develop your Creative Practice award from the Arts Council (www.artscouncil.org.uk) to look at how I can develop performance which directly engages the audience in simple communication strategies, and echoes my own experience of connection and disconnection within close relationships.
